On The Voice Season 7 Episode 5, more aspiring singers competed for an elusive spot on Teams Adam, Blake, Gwen and Pharrell as the Blind Auditions ended.
Who made the final cut to advance to the next round?
Matt McAndrew, who works at a grocery store and teaches voice lessons, showed us why on “A Thousand Years” and ended up on Team Adam as a result!
Brittany Butler, turned heads, and chairs, with her smooth, jazz-infused take on “The Girl From Ipanema” and chose Team Pharrell over a disappointed Gwen.
Ryan Sill took on OneRepublic’s hit “Secrets” and watched Gwen and Blake battled it out for his services before choosing his shiny Team Gwen shirt.
Fernanda Bosch, who’s just 17, opted for “I Try” by Macy Gray, and it was good enough for two chairs to turn around. She’ll be on Team Blake this fall.
Beth Spangler, a radiographer at a hospital, was electric with her performance of “Best Thing I Never Had,” earning her pick of coaches and going with Adam!
Griffi sang the Michael Buble’ song, “It’s A Beautiful Day,” and Gwen, Blake, and Pharrell fought to have the one-named star on their team. Pharrell got him.
Mayra Alvarez, inspired by last season’s Jake Worthington from her home city, landed a spot on Team Gwen with “Human Nature” by Michael Jackson.
Justin Johnes, 15, makes YouTube covers for friends at home, and in his live singing debut, got himself onto Team Blake with a rendition of “Let Her Go.”
And that’s a wrap for the Blind Auditions!
As always, it’s been real, but it’s time to move on and start paring down the field – still at 12 singers per coach – to the true contenders who can win this thing.
