The renowned Pride of Poland Arabian horse auction held in Janów Podlaski, situated in eastern Poland, has yielded a substantial sum of almost EUR 2.2 million, according to official reports.

Taking place annually, this auction occurred on Sunday and showcased a collection of 24 Arabian horses, predominantly sourced from Polish state stud farms located in Janów Podlaski, Michałów, and Białka. The selection included 22 mares and two stallions.

A five-year-old mare named El Esmera from Michałów commanded the highest price, securing EUR 810,000 from the Al Zobair Stud of the United Arab Emirates.

Another horse from Michałów, a nine-year-old mare named Wildona, found a buyer from Switzerland, fetching EUR 650,000.

The event witnessed the sale of a total of 14 horses, attracting participation from bidders hailing from various countries, including France, Belgium, and Portugal.

This auction marked the culmination of the 45th Polish National Arabian Horse Show, featuring a presentation of 120 horses from both state and private breeders. Photo by gov.pl.
