Poland and Saudi Arabia have formalized an intergovernmental air transport agreement, marking the commencement of regular air services connecting the two countries.

The momentous accord, signed by Poland's Infrastructure Minister, Andrzej Adamczyk, and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transportation and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, is expected to stimulate economic growth and facilitate travel opportunities.

The framework of the agreement paves the way for both LOT Polish Airlines and Saudi national carriers to initiate operations.

"This day marks the conclusion of an extended period during which our airlines faced limitations in establishing direct routes between Poland and Saudi Arabia. Relying on external airlines, particularly from neighboring nations, is now a thing of the past," Adamczyk stated during a press conference. Photo by Mark Harkin, Wikimedia commons.
