Copenhagen Airport has witnessed a remarkable year-over-year surge in passenger traffic, with a total of 20.3 million passengers traversing the airport during the first nine months of 2023,

reflecting a substantial 24% increase. In September alone, the airport welcomed 2,533,764 passengers.

The autumn season is a favored time for travelers seeking to extend their summer or explore European cities. Particularly noteworthy are the routes connecting Copenhagen with North American destinations, which have displayed robust performance, hosting 124,000 passengers in September, predominantly Americans and Canadians visiting Denmark.

New York continues to hold its position as a top destination for travelers, with London ranking as the most sought-after destination departing from Copenhagen. The airport anticipates accommodating over 850,000 travelers during the school's autumn break.

Airlines are preparing to introduce their winter programs, featuring both scheduled and charter flights to a variety of destinations. Among the new routes are sunny getaways to places like Agadir in Morocco, Funchal in Madeira, as well as skiing holidays in Sweden and Austria. Furthermore, Ryanair and Wizz Air will unveil fresh routes to European destinations.
