Poland's Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, delivered an optimistic message on public TV, heralding 2023 as a pivotal year in the nation's history.

Under the new coalition government, headed by pro-EU leader Donald Tusk, the commitment to revamp state media into a credible information source marked a strategic move to counter the manipulation of media for political purposes.

Reflecting on the past year, Tusk expressed gratitude for the collective effort, acknowledging the challenges, impassioned moments, and the emergence of civic engagement, particularly highlighting the significant turnout in the October 15 elections that favored his coalition.

Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister underscored the formidable task of unifying a divided Poland as the central challenge for his administration. He pledged unwavering dedication to achieving this goal, emphasizing that the government won't rest until unity is achieved.

Tusk credited the people of Poland for surprising the world in 2023, citing the nation's ability to inspire hope for freedom across the globe.

In closing, he extended warm wishes for a joyful and secure 2024 to all Poles.
