Bosch is set to make substantial investments in expanding its heat pump development and production capabilities at its Aveiro location. While investments made abroad often receive more

attention, Bosch is now focusing on bolstering its presence in Aveiro, signaling its commitment to advancing the country's progress towards carbon neutrality. The company recently announced a €100 million investment earmarked for Aveiro until 2026.

Bosch's strategic plan includes the establishment of new laboratories and the construction of two additional buildings to accommodate expanded heat pump production lines. This investment will ultimately result in an increased workforce of several hundred employees in the medium term.

While the importance of achieving carbon neutrality is gaining prominence, buildings play a pivotal role in this endeavor, with heat pumps serving as a fundamental component. Bosch is dedicating more than one billion euros to expanding its network by the end of the decade, with Aveiro in Portugal, Eibelshausen in Germany, and Tranås in Sweden all playing integral roles in this ambitious initiative.
